Is it possible to have a feature where blacklisted results do not show up in the search results at all (similiar to how loli/shota content is handled, or how gelbooru has a total NSFW filter) instead of being hidden as it is now?

It's not possible, for performance reasons.

Edit: I agree it would be nice if there were a way to prevent loli thumbnails from loading, instead of hiding them after they load.
Edit 2: If you just want to filter out explicit and questionable posts, try http://safebooru.donmai.us. This Safebooru, unlike the other you may have heard of, is the same site as Danbooru, but only shows pictures that are rated safe. Note that as per howto:rate, the "safe" rating doesn't necessarily mean "safe for work" because it contains sexy swimsuits and clearly non-sexual nudity.
