Self explanatory. Finally creating an umbrella parent child tag to make blacklisting easier and allows searching for the childs gender in case you want to see a character with either or both parents.

I really dislike that you're doing this BUR after spending the past few hours adding these tags to several thousand images. The wikis mark them as either ambiguous or for specific circumstances, both of which you ignored.

This is pretty much just tag poisoning.

Previously discussed in topic #20109.

The problem with using mother_and_child and father_and_child as umbrella tags is that they are already used for instances in which you can't determine the sex of the child. If they are used as umbrella tags, it would needlessly increase the number of required tags to effectively search for these kinds of posts to 3 because the son/daughter tags would need to be negated. The reason it's needless is because we can already use wildcards to simulate a parent tag (for example: mother_and_*).

At the moment, I'm neutral regarding a parent_and_child umbrella tag. I think parent_and_child could be used in the same way for parents with unknown sex or creatures that would not get gender count tags, but at the time of the discussion above, it was concluded that there were too few examples to warrant it. Also, the best equivalent to a parent_and_child umbrella tag we have now is *_and_*, which is too broad to be of any use.

It should be noted that NNT edited the wiki with instructions not to use the parent_and_child tag (though the tag wasn't depreciated).

I see little chance of this BUR passing, based on the current votes and previous discussions, so I think it's safe to start reverting the mother_and_child and father_and_child tags when appropriate. If the BUR does somehow pass, then the tags will be added back anyway.

Edit: Added specific tag in fourth paragraph for clarity.
