If anything, it's about time the series got an anime
I like the series, but I'm not sure if it's possible to make it into anime without cutting the court scenes or making it exceedingly slow-paced and boring. Seriously depends on which studio will get to do it.

Maybe if it's done a la Death Note style where even the most mundane things are knocked up to eleven then I could see this working as a very well done anime.

They did the Live action movie well. I don't see the problem. Especially considering they had the condense the first game all into 1 movie.
