Just like Serval and Mirai, seems Kemono has a really dark history that could easily be a more adult season
It's more that it keeps some nice the story implied and rather than explicitly spell out everything makes the viewer think a bit. Once you get past the cute girls, anyways.
That depth and mystery is nice, especially compared to Manabe Straight where they just day "this is the last school as birthrate is down" and they leave it there, or a show that drones on and on about what happened in the past and removes all sense of mystery. The implied parts add to the charm.
