Well, yes, but Rule of Funny and all that. Some might have genuinely misunderstood, but I think most feigned ignorance for humor value, mainly because her ghost half does kind of look like a pillow or marshmallow.

Now, whether one feels the humor has worn off/was never there is a separate matter.
