I'm trying to figure out how anyone will ever be able to reject a drawing for 'poor quality' ever again after this.
1. This was posted by someone with "urestricted uploads", which means that there is no need for approval unless it's actively flagged.
2. Simplicity in and of itself isn't poor quality. This is not particularly impressive in terms of quality, but "poor quality" implies that what is there is aesthetically offensive. I wouldn't approve this, but I don't feel it's worth hitting with "poor quality" or flagging it.

i don't see the poor quality in here myself. it's simple and cute in it's own intentional way. if you frame only the part with kurby in it you'll see it has its style and not something amateurish
if b&w and little detail is not quality then your throwing all those 4koma into the mix

The thing is, just because something looks like that on purpose doesn't mean it's necessarily good. (I've absolutely flagged some monstrosities where someone said that it should be kept because it was "on model"... and the model was garbage and none of that artist's works should be allowed on the site.) I'd certainly agree in the case of Kirby that simple and cute works well, but it's not something that can be stretched too far.

I thought about adding this, but wasn't sure it was worth the digression.
I, at least, don't see "quality" in terms of simple art technique alone, I see it in terms of whether it's something that adds to Danbooru. I'll be much harsher on yet another image of a girl simply standing up facing the viewer, while I'll have more tolerance for an action scene, while the "quality" of a comedic 4koma can depend a lot on whether it made me laugh. We literally have a million "I drew an image of this currently popular character to practice my art" images that tend to be relatively boring unless exceptionally detailed or having a good artistic composition backing it up, but there's an unending well of ways to make references to current events or doujins.

Danbooru is full of superficial snobs who thinks any simple art is poor quality . Pixiv is way better
