Yorkie: Thanks to them, i was a bit entertained during that scary moments~
Yorktown, after receiving several bomb and torpedo hits, was deemed unfit to be saved, as the flooding was uncontrollable. It was decided that Yorktown be abandoned on the afternoon of 4 June 1942. Despite this, she stayed afloat until almost sunrise the next morning. The salvage team attempted to rescue the carrier. However, the ship were subsequently sunk by torpedoes fired by the submarine I-168.
