I don't believe in demotion. Undermines structure and respect for rank.
I believe in it. Having been in the military myself, there are many times when I thought demotions should have been warranted but never given for the reason you stated.
But to me, the rank remains the way it is before and after a given person holds it. You respect the rank, not the individual, yes? But if they aren't worthy of the rank, it still causes dissonance, and you have to show that there will be consequences. To me people keeping a rank they don't deserve undermines the respect and structure around it.
Oh no here we go again. why did they not just formally execute him for wasting resources and betrayal.
All I am now is a lowly intelligence officer, being dragged around by the collar around my neck.chakkachakka...let's just spare the pleasantries. The information that you were given by the Naval General Headquarters in order to perform that enemy base raid not too long ago...I was the one who provided that data to HQ. You should be grateful. While totally understandable......is there something you want to discuss with me?
