I think it is because Konngara and Kikuri used to be lovers
Konngara is by fanon one of the four devas..maybe they were lovers and REimu's mom sealed Kikuri's spirit away in a attack of jealous or just plain trolling like Sanae was in UFO and this is the goodbye scene?
