I don’t know, her design isn’t my favorite, it’s not bad, but it might be because the pictures a bit blurry. Oh well, based off her personality she’ll grow on me very quickly, and so will her design!
Funnily enough, I much prefer this grounded design over the other 2 ships released. (At the time of this post) The rigging is pretty standard Northern Parliament fare, but her clothing is much easier to understand. None of this mythical or over-designed weirdness; just some office clothes and a nice labcoat.

I like this design, too. It's not that I have a huge problem with the more elaborate designs like Plymouth or Brest, just that they look so out-of-place when next to some of the earlier designs that were once considered elaborate; just compare Brest with fellow Iris ships Richelieu (post #3210307) and Champagne (post #4002144).
It also feels like artists are concentrating more on elaborate background elements that most players won't bother looking at in-game, when I feel like that time and effort would be better spent making more shipgirls, or more shipgirl skins, instead.
It isn't like there's some kind of finite art resource that the artists are choosing to "waste" on elaborate designs. If Manjuu wanted more girls or skins, they'd have them made, it's not the artists' faults.

Personally I quite like the elaborate designs. At the end of the day, the whole point of PR is that it's giving a "body" to the WoWS fantasy ships, and when we start moving out of "what if Hipper-class had triple gun turrets" like Roon and into "what if the GK 4541 had modern WW2 era 16" guns" which is already reaching since WW2 Germany didn't even build 16" guns, let alone a late WW1 design. Rupprecht is basically WG saying "what if we took the H-class (Friedrich der Grosse) and pretended that Imperial Germany built her, and it was an evolution of an existing but nowhere near being laid down battlecruiser design" Same for Brest, which is basically pure WG fantasy. I think the super elaborate rigging fits how super made up and unrealistic these ships are as they appear in WoWS when you think about them critically.
