The RPK-74 is a Soviet 5.45×39mm light machine gun introduced in 1974, based on AK-74assault rifle. The weapon features longer barrel, a bipod, slightly longer receiver in order to enhance its sustained fire capability. It feeds from a standard 45-round magazine, interchangeable with the rifle counterpart.
Variants
RPKS-74 - Has a solid wooden side-folding stock. Unlike the AKS-74 with triangular metal one.
