... still wondering how does Irys fits with the whole “myth” of holomyth? I mean: Gura equals a shark, but reality she’s based on the myth of Atlantis. Kiara is based on a Phoenix, and equals of the myth of immortality. Cali is based on the death/grim reaper, and equals on the myth of the life after death... and maybe heaven and hell too (Unless That’s another story... there’s a lot of places for the death to go depending on the culture and place of the world you live in...) Ina is pretty much self explanatory. Amelia is based on the investigation, and maybe a bit of an Occultist too, since, Occultists are always following myths and urban legends aren’t they?
But Irys? I mean, she could be based on the apocalypse, since she’s a “bringer of Hope”, but that’s kinda of a stretch... just on what is based Irys and how does she fits with the “Holomyth”?

Is she even part of Holomyth? I thought she was separate, she's supposed to be Project:HOPE isn't she?

Irys is a Nephilim, which is a Christian apostrophic mythological being, since the book Nephilim are from aren't biblical canon. She might not be apart of the myth gen, but it seems that the whole of the EN is Myth until said otherwise.
Yeah, Myth is the official name for the first EN Gen. Going forward it seems hololive will be using full names rather than sequential numbers for each new generation of the English branch. Even if she has a mythological theme - well, to be honest, it's a fantasy theme with some mythological inspiration, but that's just nitpicking - IRyS isn't part of the first gen so she isn't part of holoMyth.
She is something of an outlier though, as her "Project:HOPE" is currently a generation of one, just her. You have to go back to whoever was the last introduced Gen 0 girl to see someone who debuted solo like this.
Amusingly, I've always found Ina and Ame to be the ones who were kind of crowbar'd into the myth theme. The others have ancient mythological design inspirations, but those two have, while classic, still very modern works of literature as their inspirations.

I agree with that. Nephilim aren't half angel and half demon, they're half angel and half human, if we're going by the actual Book of Enoch they come from.
