Because people who aren't even fans are changing things other people like. I mean, I think it's pretty damn reasonable to be upset that tourists are ruining something that brings you joy. Should people just give up on the things they enjoy while other people destroy them just because "it's just lines on a screen"? It's a lot more than that to a lot of people, or they wouldn't be paying money for it, and it's ridiculous that people that don't even fund the hobby can dictate how that hobby operates.
Well, would this be a failed successfully moment? She did surprise Koishi, and she managed to get her umbrella used. Sure she likely died, but that's not all that unreasonable in Touhou.
