Tag Alias: Angel beats spoilers

Change the topic title, please. Given that it's not known at first, it seems like somewhat of a spoiler to me. If it's to be done, I think it should be the other way around.

Topic title changed. Do NOT put spoilers in a thread title!

If I'd watched this episode just a few minutes later than I did (only just finished a few minutes ago), I'd probably be temp banning you right now.

Anyway, no, absolutely no implication or alias, that goes completely counter to our name policy.

In this case, since it's not a name anyone would type in not expecting to find Tenshi, yes it can be done spoiler->nonspoiler. If it were a matter of two characters being in the show and the spoiler being that, surprise, they're actually the same person, then I wouldn't alias.

tachibana_kanade *is* a pretty plain name but full name conflicts are rather rare so it should be okay. Done.

Edit: actually, not done yet... anyone looking at Tenshi's wiki would see "The following tags are aliased to this tag: tachibana_kanade..." which is just giving it away.

If we do it, let's hold off for a bit while the information circulates around as more people watch it.

I don't think this is really that much of a spoiler, and will probably be one of those things that anyone who didn't follow it from the beginning and isn't totally oblivious to stuff will just have to deal with knowing in advance.

That being said, I think we should hold off a decision till the series ends.

Please don't let ban decisions rest on such concerns as whether you, personally, have watched a certain episode of an anime or not.

I kind of agree, but it's still one of those things that I think kind of sucks to ruin the surprise, IMO. Not everyone can get to watching a show not long after it airs.

For what it's worth, it seems the name is spreading around Pixiv now, though her name hasn't been written out yet and it's very much ambiguous how to write in Japanese (particularly her family name if in kanji).

There are a lot of things that non-early adopters have to deal with being spoiled by, yeah, but there's no reason to go out of our way to point it out. If information gets out, it gets out. But we do strive to make sure our tagging is not the reason, so far as that's possible.

Like I said, Tenshi's just an alias while her real name is revealed to be Tachibana Kanade. So the full name is NOT a spoiler, it's official.
