Deleted posts

Posted under General

I have an issue to raise regarding deleted posts.

This is different from, though linked to, the one petitioning for the recovery of posts that were auto-deleted.

Today, I reloaded my recent posts because I like to see the status of them. What scores they get, if they've been deleted or approved, etc. I reloaded it today to find that a bunch of them were deleted at some point this morning. Here is one that I can remember, used not for views on quality, but for the underlying issue (the issue of quality of this specific picture will be brought up at a later point in time).

This entry was not auto-deleted. It also does NOT show up as deleted in my deleted posts queue. I was only able to retrieve this from its state of purgatory because I have rosa_farrell as one of my favorite tags and it still shows up.

It's one thing to delete a post because of perception of whether or not it's "danbooru-worthy" (if that's the case for this or other instances), it's another entirely to delete it with absolutely zero explanation and zero traceability.

Thank you. My main concern in writing this thread isn't posts I like getting deleted, it's that they were deleted with no reason given and do not show up in the deleted posts area of my account.

Though being able to find those posts in a search pair of myself and deleted:true redeems that issue a little.

Please learn the link syntax: post #334743

I didn't know if that syntax worked in the forum in addition to the comments area, and wasn't prepared at the moment (and I wouldn't have been right now if you asked me to go learn it without an example; thanks for providing one) to go on a search for the information in your whatever you want to call it (the >>) section to find out. So, I opted to just post the link to the entry instead of type something out that might not work.

This is still a concern of mine. That I can find what posts were deleted using "deleted:true" does not give me anything in the way of why they were deleted. And while it's not as critical now because I CAN find them, I'd still like to be able to have them show up in the deleted posts section of my account if that's not too much trouble.
