The Joestar birthmark is a birthmark that is carried on by the Joestar bloodline in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It should implicate birthmark because it's a birthmark. It is tagged on over 150 images so I think it should carry the implication by now.

Are artists really bad at depicting it or is more like a tattoo that is canonically a birthmark? Birthmarks aren't usually every color of the rainbow.

edit: actually I have no idea what's going on with the birthmark tag. Most of these could be tattoos or bruises.

It's more of a magic mark, but characters in the bloodline are supposed to have it as a birthmark.

It's not a real birthmark. It's the literal Joestar. There's no way we should add the implication, it looks nothing like a birthmark.

If the manga says its a birthmark, its a birthmark. There doesn't seem to be anything magical about it other than Dio's vampire shenanigans.
