deviantArt Uploading

Posted under Bugs & Features

With my last three uploads, I've noticed some strange things going on when you're trying to upload from deviantArt:

1-In one instance, it didn't catch the full-sized version of an image when you did a source upload.
2-In *three* instances, I would get a weird error (lots and lots of code filling up the screen) when doing a source upload - the kind you'd normally find when the DA link had a mature filter turned on. Except, of course, they didn't. Saving the image and uploading directly from your PC works fine though.

I'm not sure if it's just me, or if it's some tiny bug going on in the background - it's really not even *that* bit of an issue, but I still think it's worth checking out.

One the first point: In some cases, deviantart artists don't provide a proper download link, which is what you need, usually on the right side of the profile for the dA post. I notice one of your uploads(post #2062304), which I just approved, had a 600x750 resolution, but the original in it's profile says 800x1000. In that case the only one provided to the internet is the main one posted, and the higher res version is not available. As for your second problem, maybe it's a good idea to test if the image opens properly in a new tab/window before moving ahead with upload.

What images were you trying to upload?
