Square: Pic Size or Geometric Shape?

There's an issue around this tag because it's currently being used for both pictures with the geometric shape (post #1656998) and for the particular picture size (post #1322850 is square; post #1227567 is almost square).

I wanted to bring this up for debate and see if any kind of consensus is reached, instead of taking an arbitrary decision by myself.

We could differentiate it as square_(shape) and square_(aspect_ratio) if that's what you're worried about. Seems like a proper course of action.

The square-shaped images could be split off into a square image tag, which would match the existing round image. That said, perhaps if we had a metatag for aspect ratio, that could be used just as well?

What if they're one or two pixels off, or perfectly square inside of a not-quite-perfectly-square border? What if a 16:9 image is letterboxed to 1:1?
