Both tags refer to screens attached to computers. Monitor is the destination tag in this request because it is much larger, because computer monitor is already aliased to it, and because the wiki for computer screen calls it a monitor.

(However, it seems monitor is also being used for television screens. Is this fine, or is a tag cleanup in order to separate them? Or perhaps monitors for computers should start being tagged monitor and computer screen?)

The tag alias computer_screen -> monitor has conflicting wiki pages. monitor should be updated to include information from computer_screen if necessary.

Wouldn't this conflict with things like all-in-one PC units with integrated screens (instead of separate monitors) or projected holographic/virtual reality computer screens in sci-fi works?

I don't think anyone will shed any tears if imacs or the like get tagged monitor; nothing about the monitor tag's wiki says that it must be a standalone device. The virtual sort of screen is already covered by holographic monitor.
