Add "pixiv sample" automatically to an upload

Posted under General

See also my comment under post #2531065.
It is starting to annoy to approve those pixiv samples without knowing unless you lock at pixiv to see what size the uploads have. And with that huge amount of posts, this is a bit...frustrating.
So is there a way to let pixiv sample automatically be added to every post that is one? Just like absurdres is added automatically?

I think perhaps janitors shouldn't be penalized if their approvals are deleted for being samples. They shouldn't use that as a crutch, however culpability is really with the uploader in my opinion. Also need system to just reject improper URLs from the start.

Pixiv samples are already converted to the full size on upload. Not sure how that got through, unless they added the source after uploading. Setting the source after upload won't trigger it, have to rely on RaisingK's bot then.

So there is no way to see if a post is a pixiv sample in the queue? One can see the source, though. Can one see based of the source if the post is a pixiv sample?

That's what it does, if you try upload a sample source like this Danbooru automatically changes the source to the full size like this. I'm not sure how these are getting through, but if there are cases where it doesn't work then it's a bug.

EDIT: Oh, do you mean highlighting posts with a source like http://i4.pixiv.net/c/1200x1200/img-master/img/2015/10/04/14/18/33/52865811_p1_master1200.jpg in the mod queue? Problem is they won't have the sample source until RaisingK's bot fixes it. Maybe just blacklist pixiv_sample or filter the mod queue by -pixiv_sample?

If an uploader gives both File and Source, perhaps Danbooru should ignore the File, or compare it to the Source? At least for pixiv? This might be undesirable in some circumstances but still end up a net positive...

I've had issues where, even when I open the desktop site or use the uploader, it still grabs the sample. I'm not sure how the new Pixiv whitecube changes will affect the bookmarklet. It's not always cut and dried.

Regarding this topic...I don't know for how long we have the possibility to see the source of the uploads in the queue (it is there for quite a while, though).
Since I don't really understand how this work, but apparantly if there is a source like this
http://i2.pixiv.net/img-original/img/2016/12/12/17/13/12/60347801_p0.jpg
then it is the normal size, am I right?

And if the source is like this
http://i2.pixiv.net/c/1200x1200/img-master/img/2016/12/12/00/13/09/60340849_p0_master1200.jpg
i.e. there is no "original" like in the link above, then it is a pixiv sample.

If that is correct, then if an approver should accumulate to many pixiv samples, maybe one should link them the the mod queue and look at the source (I should do that, too).
That said, if that is correct, then Janitors should be linked more often directly to the queue, because one can see there the source and doesn't have to look at the pixiv page.

I'm not sure what you're saying here. If you're talking about identifying posts that are not yet tagged, then it's already been mentioned why the source is unlikely to help. They're only uploaded in the first place because the uploader did it improperly, either by uploading from a different site or from their computer, so in many of these cases, the source may also be improperly entered or not entered at all.

And why do the sources look different then in this case? The first link is a normal post, the second one is a pixiv sample.
So the question is: Is it coincidence that the second has a different source as all other posts in the queue from pixiv, because they all have /img-original/ in the source, while the pixiv sample has /img-master/
