fat_mons vs. plump_labia

On e621 they use the tag "plump_labia"...over here you guys use "fat_mons". After doing some research I'd say the former is more anatomically accurate. Most of the images that are tagged "fat_mons" the female does not actually have a fat mons...which is the area above the vagina. Instead her outer pussy lips, known as the labia majora, are the part that is actually fat.

Furthermore...in many of the poses characters are in, you can't actually see the mons pubis area, yet they are still tagged fat_mons. like in this image: post #2559945 you can't see that area. You could infer by the overall puffiness of her pussy that she might have a fat mons as well, but that's really just a guess.

Finally, I think more people are looking at and enjoying the plumpness of the outer labia, rather than looking at the mons pubis area.

Probably not going to change a tag that has so many entries, just wanted to have a discussion about this :)

Well, the option's always there to do a mass update/alias and move the wiki. Just depends on perceived usage of the tag.

I've only ever used the fat mons tag like once or twice, so I don't have much to say about the matter. My preference is to keep it the way it is, since the labia refers to the entirety of the outer visible parts. Or at least create an alias to fat labia, but that sounds kind of off IMO.

The "entirety of the outer visible parts" of the vagina is called the vulva, but I would not use that to describe it because it includes the clitoris as well. So a fat_vulva or plump_vulva tag would be basically be saying not only is the skin around it fat, but the clitoris would have to be fat as well, and I'm sure there are other tags that describe a big clit.

Yeah, I'm not all too sure... someone else will have to chime in on this discussion. Are there other imageboards that also use fat mons, or is it one limited to ourselves?
