Quick (and possibly dumb) question about tagme

Posted under Tags

Why did all the "tagme" tags vanish? I just uploaded an image and was not sure how to tag it so I just entered tagme... to my surprise it only had less than 20 entries at this point. Did we change the tag system and I just missed it? Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Go to the posts tag history. People are hard at working tagging. On the upload page there are some resources for tagging more satisfactorily.

It was gardened to near-death by a certain user going by the name Provence. tagme is now monitored fairly closely thanks to the effort of quite a number of dedicated tag gardeners.

Well, it was eliminated completely and we try to keep it that small. There are still some users, also users who are using this tag for years and simply don't improve and keep re-awakening this tag.
On that note I want to especially say thanks to @kiyah123 who puts a lot effort into keeping this tag small :3.

I can't imagine how you clear it out so quickly ^^, I just try to make it less work for you.

Also relevant to this is topic #12445 that I didn't read till recently which basically discussed the future of the tag. Presently the tag is managed as previously said above.

Feel like I should apologise once again for usually tagme-ing my uploads (whenever I even upload).
It's not so much a habit, laziness or being unwilling to improve as much as it is that even if I might tag an image sufficiently on my own, I know that there's things I missed (sometimes important, sometimes less so) and that will be added thanks to it. A double check if you will.
