[REJECTED] Tag alias: red_lipstick -> red_lips

create alias red_lipstick -> red_lips

The wiki pages seem to describe the same thing. Except the red lipstick page seems to allow for wiggle room for red lipstick that isn't on a character's lips but rather just a tube of lipstick. Such cases would be better suited as branch off of x_lipstick_tube rather than shoehorning the two concepts in one tag that interferes with a very similar one.

Hmm... lips can be red without lipstick having been applied. I'm not sure there's any way of telling that with posts on this site, though. Except in cases of monochrome posts which probably don't want this tag anyway.

Hypothetical example, but what if the red lips were on a figure or a painting (object) or similar? Probably not much of an issue, though.

I guess on balance I'd agree to this, but it's a rather cautious agreement.

Isn't there the possibility that someone might just use this with actual 'red' lipstick? That isn't applied to the lips (yet, at least)?

Neither for or against at the moment, but I'm just throwing it out there.

I guess that this tag is also color specific. Lipstick tube is not color specific.
But I agree (if that's somehow your intention): Having one tag for two possible things is kinda iffy.

It's not color specific but it could be. That's what I suggest in the original post.

For another ciriticism in this thread, would applied lipstick suffice? Or maybe this should just be an implication?

We already have a lipstick tube tag for when it's separate; is there any reason to keep both under the same tag?

That's why I feel this is shoehorning concepts together. They should be seperate.

Is this a setup for a bunch of *_lips tags in place of *_lipstick?

Yes :)

Is there a resolution to this topic? The way that the wiki is written now makes it seem like both red lips and red lipstick tube should implicate red lipstick, while not mentioning any other situation where lips would appear red.

The wiki for red lipstick says: A tube of lipstick or makeup applied to the lips that is colored red.
The wiki for red lips says: When a character has applied red-colored lipstick to their lips.

The rest of the lips colors are very similar:

Wiki for pink lipstick: A tube of lipstick or makeup applied to the lips that is colored pink.
Wiki for pink lips: Lips that have pink lipstick applied to them.

Rest of colors tags:
