I can see that there aren't any posts under scapula, but it is the official anatomic name for it isn't it? The same way clavicle is aliased to collarbone currently.

There are no posts under this tag, and it's not one of the missed searches. I don't see any reason for this alias, and I don't think the other one should exist either.

Agree with iridescent slime here. I doubt anyone outside of the medical field even uses either of those terms regularly.

If we were going to have tags for specific bones, I feel like they would be more aptly used in images with actual clean bones/skeletons/x-rays visible.

I can kind of understand the clavicle alias, since I have heard (albeit rarely) people refer to the collarbone by its technical name outside of a doctor's office. Still feels a bit weird, though.

See topic #1992. The clavicle alias only exists because someone suggested collarbone -> clavicle and we decided to stick with the common name. It wasn't meant to be a precendent for having "anatomical name -> common name" aliases in general.
