Regarding Fire Emblem Character Tags

I've noticed a huge inconsistency in the character tags. Some of them are in japanese and some in english, even the ones from the same game.

So far with the help of 166417 i've only searched the Tellius games (Namely, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn), and only 3 playable characters are tagged in japanese (Wayu_(fire_emblem) (Mia), Tiamat_(fire_emblem) (Titania), Soanvalke (Stefan)). The antagonists' tags haven't been checked yet.

With that said, i need help with this project. I need a full list of which tags are in japanese and in english, as to fix the consistency. I'm pretty sure with a community effort this shouldn't take too long.

With wether we should go with japanese or english tags, my opinion is that since all the FE character names have been officially localized, there's no reason to keep the japanese ones, since the localized names are the most known in the western fandom. I'd like to hear the opinion of others though before coming to a conclusion.

There's a wiki page with that list already on the site.

It hasn't been updated since April, but there've been only about a dozen characters since then. The list even shows most of the English names. That should get you a fairly large head start, if you haven't finished already.

I'd vote for the English names. Other franchises on this site use the localized names, and since this is an English language site, it makes sense. It should also extend to the game titles as well.

I'd vote for the English names too. Having to scour the Heroes tag to find official art of a character you got there because you only know their English name is kind of tedious.

Also, apply this to the human characters from Pokemon, while we're at it. The Pokemon are tagged with their English names, it makes no sense that the people use the Japanese ones.

Ok so, what's the general opinion on japanese FE tags? Should i make a request to change them to the english versions?

Rarely the FE fandom uses japanese names of the games.

I'm definitely for the English names.
