Shower, Shower (place), and Showering

The usage of shower, shower (place), and showering seems rather inconsistent.

Showering is more clear-cut, especially with its wiki page (except the part with rainstorms).

But then, what's the distinction between shower and shower (place)?

I see, but that doesn't answer all my questions. If showering refers to the act and shower (place) refers to the place, then what does just shower mean?

It's an ambiguous tag and shouldn't be used. Everything under shower should be migrated to either shower (place) or showering as appropriate.

Some were actually just shower_head.
