Danbooru Winter Sale: 25% off Gold + free 6 tag searches for Members

Posted under General

Merry Christmas everyone. This year I thought I'd try something new, so this year will be Danbooru's first-ever winter sale. For the next three days,

  • Members get free 6-tag searches.
  • Gold and Platinum upgrades are 25% off. Gold is $15 and Platinum is $30.

Free 6-tag searches means that Members can search for up to 6 tags at once. Normally this is a Gold-only feature. This is for Members only, meaning you need an account for this. Sign up here if you don't already have an account.

Remember that Gold and Platinum are permanent lifetime upgrades. The upgrade is just a one-time fee. To upgrade your account, go here: https://safebooru.donmai.us/user_upgrade/new.

This sale will end in 72 hours (at 11:59PM on December 27th, UTC time).

EDIT: The sale has ended.

Any thoughts on making this an annual offer?

We'll see how it goes. This is the first time we've ever done a sale like this.

How does upgrading work if I'm Gold and want Platinum?

On the upgrade page you'll see an "Upgrade Gold to Platinum" option. Upgrading from Gold to Platinum is $15.

I would like to upgrade if you had other payment options.

This has been brought up before and there are no feasible alternatives at the moment. For example, Paypal don’t like questionable content and would immediately freeze the account.

Hello. I just upgraded to gold, and now there are tons of extra options, notably, the + - next to tags. Is there a way to disable this, or is this just how your account operates now? Thanks in advance.

That's how it operates now, the +/- by tags are useful if you see a search term you want to add/subtract from a tag search.

I've been using the CSS I just posted in forum #161872 to remove those for myself.
