I'd like to populate horizontal-striped background. (it currently has 0 posts)
We already have these:
If I understand correctly, we don't want tags for horizontal-striped legwear, shirts, panties, etc. because horizontal stripes are the default for these pieces of clothing. (as discussed on topic #15463 from 2018)
But I guess there is no default for striped background, right? See the striped background posts. The stripes don't seem to have a default direction.

I see no one replied yet in 15 days. I guess no one cares about horizontal-striped_background?
I'll start to populate that tag at some point later if there's no objection.

But just to be sure, are you OK with vertical-striped background and diagonal-striped background, just not with horizontal-striped background? Because it's inconsistent having only 2 out of 3.
I would also understand if someone wanted to delete all 3 tags, that would be another consistent decision.

I don't see the point of these tags. I can sort of understand why someone would care about the orientation of stripes on clothing; horizontal and vertical stripes have very different visual effects on a body, and someone may care enough about that effect to specifically want to search for one or another. But how many of us can honestly say they're so concerned by the direction of background stripes that they've found it necessary to include either of these tags in a search? It just seems excessive.

Searching for striped background should be enough, I don´t think that the direction of the stripes is that important. If we want to keep them, then we should have a horizontal tag too. But I would rather delete the other two and maybe alias all of them to striped background.

We could delete vertical-striped background and diagonal-striped background, then. I think that would be the best option.
I just don't like the inconsistent status quo where we have only 2 of them but not the 3rd (horizontal-striped_background). So if people want the vertical and diagonal tags for some reason, I think we definitely should create the horizontal tag too. But if no one wants any of them, then let's delete them.

remove implication diagonal-striped_background -> striped_background
remove implication vertical-striped_background -> vertical_stripes
remove implication diagonal-striped_background -> diagonal_stripes
mass update vertical-striped_background -> striped_background
mass update diagonal-striped_background -> striped_background
Reason: This would delete vertical-striped_background and diagonal-striped_background.

Why was this removed in the first place?
Because there was no 3rd tag?
You can always argue that the missing tag is the "default" one.
Pretty much the same reason as to why we don't have "horizontal-striped_legwear".
This reasoning sounds weak and it removed one way to further distinct images as the striped tags are fairly common.
