BUR #2886 has been approved by @evazion.

create implication super_saiyan_1 -> super_saiyan
create implication super_saiyan_2 -> super_saiyan
create implication super_saiyan_3 -> super_saiyan
create implication super_saiyan_4 -> super_saiyan
create implication super_saiyan_god -> super_saiyan
create implication super_saiyan_blue -> super_saiyan
create implication super_saiyan_full_power -> super_saiyan
create implication super_saiyan_rose -> super_saiyan
create implication legendary_super_saiyan -> super_saiyan

Grouping all of the forms with post counts over 50 under an umbrella tag. Seems like most of these already are mostly tagged with the base tag. If needed, something like a super_saiyan_1 tag could be created to indicate only the 1st level.

Should be created, so people can still search for SS1. Wiki should also be updated to indicate that the "super saiyan" tag is for all forms.

If you want to go that route, the new tag will need to be populated either by gardening or an mass update BUR before the active one here gets approved. I'd favor super_saiyan_1 moreso than Super Saiyan (transformation) as it more closely resembles the others, though I don't have a strong opinion.

I may as well be the one to point out that technically Super Saiyan God isn't a Super Saiyan transformation, despite the name. It is its own transformation which, when combined with Super Saiyan, gives Super Saiyan Blue (or Rosé in Black's instance).

In practice though, I doubt anyone would mind the tag for the form implying Super Saiyan.

I do agree with the need to create a SS1 tag, though super_saiyan_1 seems like a bit of an awkward solution, given the uncommon nature of that name. Something like super_saiyan_(transformation) would work, though consideration would have to be given in regards to the already-existing transformation tag. Something like super_saiyan_(form) might work better.

Didn´t thought of the possibility to implement a new tag like Super_Saiyan_(Transformation), and I would say that this sounds like a better option. SS1 isn´t used that often and maybe people will tend to tag those images as super_saiyan instead of SS1, which could lead to alot of "super_saiyan" images, without the specific form.
So now, I would tend to creating a new tag and implying the already existing tags to something like both of you suggested.

super saiyan (form) sounds appropriate, and a mass update may be needed before the implications.

So, because somehow I felt as though it was a good idea to do this after 2am, I decided to try my hand at populating such a tag, deciding to go with super_saiyan_(form) for the time being.

I tried my best to figure out which posts needed the first form to be specifically tagged. For posts which were blatantly set in the Freeza and Cell arcs, it was easy enough to figure out when someone was SS1 and SS2. When it came to the Buu arc, it became a bit more difficult, given that Goku now knew SS2 and Vegeta is suspected of having gotten SS2 (if not before the arc, then at least when he became Majin Vegeta), so I had to sometimes guess if an image was SS1 or SS2.

Beyond arc identifiers, other factors which helped in deciding were hair style (wasn't as helpful as I had hoped, especially for Vegeta, Caulifla, and Kefla, though it seemed most folks just go with SS1), movie identifiers (Broly 2, for instance, is all SS1 and LSS if I recall), character abilities (ex. Gogeta pre-Super!Broly) and details such as electricity (and this actually wasn't as helpful either, shockingly enough, due to folks sometimes using it as a generic addition to aura, as a show of strength and power). SS3 was obviously easy to tag for, and there were in fact a few posts which missed it.

There are a few posts where I decided to not add either the SS1 tag or any of the other Super Saiyan tags, mainly because in most of them, the hair doesn't go golden at all, instead relying on aura instead.

I'd recommend someone giving my edits a looksie, just to make sure I didn't cock anything up.

Yeah, it should probably be super_saiyan_1. I know that such a thing isn't an official name in DBZ lore, but this site often uses made-up terms or alternative definitions all in order to aid with tagging.

As far as when something isn't clear one way or the other, it would be acceptable to label them with the umbrella tag super saiyan or whatever it ends up being.

Well, we do have some copyright tags that also use *_1 despite official sources and fan communities not commonly adding a 1 to the end, so there is precedent for it. And fair enough on that point of having it be under the umbrella tag, though I did at least feel the need to have it sorted in the first place, since now it is in a comparatively smaller tag (SS1 seemingly being half of what the umbrella tag has), making it easier to manually go through.

Honestly? Unlike *_(form), *_(transformation), or what have you, *_(all) has precedent on Danbooru thanks to those Fate/ tags. Mass updating super saiyan to super_saiyan_(all) (and moving its wiki alongside with that), followed by super_saiyan_(form) being mass updated to super_saiyan, and capping off with all the Super Saiyan tags implicating the new *_(all) tag, would probably work out the best.

Alright, I updated the BUR. Now someone just needs to move the *_(form) tags to the SS1 tags and we'll be golden.

Considering that wrought tag is of my doing, I'll go ahead and do that for ya.

Don't forget to include legendary_super_saiyan in that BUR, since it also counts (under your regulations). Possibly super_saiyan_berserk too, but that may have too little posts.

One question to consider, if ever briefly, should super_saiyan_blue imply super_saiyan_god? Or would that be a step too far, considering how visually distinct they are from one another?

Better not for the visual aspect of the transformations, because in this case, if someone searches for characters in Super Saiyan God form it will also appear Super Saiyan Blue characters. They are mentioned in the wikis, I believe that is sufficient.

I agree with this. As a tag, *_(all) is just clunky and unintuitive if there's a good alternative. I don't see why why the base tag wouldn't be one if you're going for super_sayan_1 anyway.
