Image noise tag suggestion

I'm wondering if there should be a tag for image noise (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_noise) if there isn't already one.

This artist's other work also features a lot of image noise.

Edit: Found one on here, but only 7 posts. To be fair I use gelbooru instead and there wasn't a tag there. Just want to know if it's ok if I start to tag posts with this.

I don't see any substantial difference between this and film_grain. We probably don't need two separate tags for it.

Thanks for pointing that out, I was looking around for similar tags but didn't come across this. I'll tag when appropriate. ty:)

For reference, there's also static, which isn't quite similar but can be used similarly.

Sometimes the noise effect can be used to give a static effect rather than grain effect, eg. post #4143318 (referring to the artwork itself and not it's HUD)

What about dithering? Subtle image noise?

No, dithering isn't noise. Noise is a "random (slightly or harshly, depending on the artwork) corrupted pixels" overlay, while dithering is precise and used as shading.
