order:random in particular is known to be extremely slow. Use random:1 or implement your own randomization method (pick random IDs or MD5s, or keep a list of posts and pick ones at random).

It looks like I've also been blocked from the API at the same time as Voidless. I didn't think I was going overboard since 90% of what I use it for is the specific case of using gallery-dl to grab things with the bad_id tag for a single artist at a time.
Admittedly the last artist I did that for, qqqrinkappp, has a lot of posts with that tag. But I still didn't realize it'd be a problem. If that's too demanding is there anything I can change to make it less so?

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to put this, but with the impending change to Twitter API on 9 Feb, will Danbooru be affected as well, or do we not use the API when fetching images from Twitter?

For those out of the loop, Twitter will no longer allow free access to their API starting on 9 February.

We'll have to see. In the worst case scenario there's always graphql, html scraping or selenium, so I wouldn't worry too much. The only ones they're hurting by removing those APIs are themselves.

We aren't even using those APIs at the moment btw, so I'm not sure if we'll be affected at all. See here.

When an image has been blocked because of a takedown request, I wish the show_seq interface could still be displayed at the bottom of the page.

Tag scripting seems to be out to lunch for me at the moment. Running Firefox 68.

I'm affected too. Can't even favorite things, it uses `GET` instead of `POST`.

Gotta say the new related tag system is kinda bad. It's a pain in the ass having to collapse and expand the related tags, the old way was much simpler and neater.

yeah i cant say im a fan of the related tags now being an extra click as well as the buttons being smaller

i also liked having the tag columns all be together, so i dont have to scroll between the recent, frequent, and related

also i VERY frequently used the related general tags alongside the wiki tags, and now having to choose one or the other is not good

new related tag system is bad. Old one is way better. Edit: also it's so pain in the ass tagging in phone

Some feedback on the new Upload page.

• The commentary section now shares the same tab as the source field. This is not very apparent at a glace the name of that tab is "Source". It should either have its own tab or the "Source" tab should be renamed to "Source & Commentary".
• Since the commentary is now in another tab and is not one of the first things you see. There should be an indicator that tells you if the commentary fields are filled in automatically. This should remind users to tag the commentaries.
• Parent ID is under the "Similiar" tab. This is also not apparent and this field is very important when parenting very short comics or variant sets. It should be one of the first things you see when uploading
• The Recent Tags field is now gone. Some like me use that section (in combination with Userscripts like BrokenEagle's RecentTagsCalc script) to more easily tag posts that share a number of tags like comics or variant sets. It also breaks userscripts like RecentTagsCalc since they no longer work.
• The Related Tags section should expand by default for quicker tagging. Translated tags are not very reliable for tagging and rarely have more than four tags available.
• To redo related tag searches for other tags, you have to collapse and expand the Related Tags section, which messes up scrolling and is not very intuitive.
• As others have mentioned, uploading on mobile devices, even on bigger tablet pcs is now more of a hassle due to more smaller buttons to click on.

I hate the fact that trying to find similar tags on the new upload page/edit page is more annoying, because I have to keep clicking and unclicking the dropdown box - which doesn't always work anyway - rather than before when I just clicked the word and pressed a button.

That's my only complaint.

It seems to still be present for me, i suppose it is because i dont use the script

@evazion can you change the layout of the upload page back to normal, please?

with this current layout you have to switch tabs to check similar images, source info, and recent tags are gone, there's also no way to zoom to 100% now that I can tell, so now I have to open a new tab if I need to zoom in on fine details, and I need to press two extra buttons to see whether I need to add the commentary_request tag and switch back, then finally there are the changes to the related tags options.

overall, this change has introduced more problems than it's solved and has just proven to be totally unnecessary, you've made it less user-friendly which harms usability overall by making this change, so I humbly ask that you please change it back to the old layout, there was nothing wrong with it, and you know how the saying goes, you can't fix what isn't broke.

if not, then can you at least make it an option to use the old layout in advanced settings?

I keep clicking the Submit button by accident when I'm really trying to quickly find "Related tags".

Shows me 9/10 when I view your profile.

The new layout looks nice and organized but like is this a test to see if this new format works out? Why is the recent tags taken out?
As a mobile user, tagging has made it harder now.
