Tentative idea for new tag - otsukaresama

Or some other version, it doesn't matter. I see a lot of those pictures with '例大祭 おつかれさまでした！', or for other conventions, and many of them are filed under translation request. This is not a line that's really worth translating for the most part (I suppose I'd say something like 'Good job at Reitaisai, everyone', or something like that), but it's not worth removing from translation_request either. So, bunch them all under a tag.

Opinions/flames/whatever are welcome.

Is the purpose more to limit the use of translation_request on these images, or a belief that there's a specific use to finding images with this text on them? If it's the former, then I don't think this will stop anyone from using a trans request, because they won't know it's an otsukaresama image.

The former reason. I came to the same conclusion as you, but was just tossing the idea out there to see what response I'd get.

We have an "akeome" tag, so I don't see why not.

I don't care either way if people start using this tag, that's fine. I just don't think it'll have any impact on frivolous translation requesting.

I doubt it will have any impact on translation request. Also, akeome has the purpose of gathering together images with a new years theme - I don't think that quite sets a precedent for tags describing text in images.
