Tag for characters that Sonic has punched into Minecraft.

As the years bring interesting and exciting new artistic concepts to society, Danbooru is always adapting to and overcoming the frighteningly alien ideas that gradually seep in. That being said, Danbooru has accumulated a slew of transformative tags:

[x] has entered beast mode -> animalization
[x] is now a furry -> furrification
[x] started to believe -> humanization
[x] is now battery powered -> mechanization
[x] has been objectively improved -> monsterification
[x] doesn't want to be a bread -> objectification
[x] says it's called a gijinka, you filthy gaijin -> personification
[x] has the physical characteristics and build similar to that of the famous voxel-based video game icon, Minecraft Steve -> ???

We've got posts like post #4129144, post #4169323, post #4129076, post #4158199, post #4315670, post #4149621, and etc. all featuring characters depicted with Minecraft body types. But I can't think of what to call such a tag!

I was thinking "Minecraft form"? "Minecraftization"? I dunno. Thoughts? I'd stray away from "voxelization" because it's distinctly different from posts like post #4082946 and post #682596.

As you wrote earlier, the designated tags come from another. The copyright name (game name) is not used here. It is still indicated by a separate tag.

For "crossover" there is a thought to use "style". Minecraft_(style), minecraft_character_(style). I think I won't be mistaken if I call this a parody style of drawing. Thus, these two tags will give us the opportunity to find images in the game style as a whole (background, characters) and transferred to the game style characters.
parody quote:

Parody might also be a general spoof on given series/character etc.

I just don't understand why there is a dependence of having humor for style_parody.
parody - ...This could be characters acting out of character, a strange scene, and so on, as long as it's intended to be a humorous take different from the usual premise...

I tried to find other well-known words and tags, but did not find suitable ones for creating a simple tag.

Agreed, but this is an issue with the current name of the tag style parody rather than the way we're using the tag (which generally just ignores the semantic nuance of parodies being humorous.) We need a tag for artists imitating the style of other artists and copyrights, full stop.

Looking through ancient forum topics I can't find what lead to style_parody being made or if there was much discussion about it, but I think it may have been created in analogy to fine art parody, which tend to be more inherently humorous.

The inaccuracy of the tag name was brought up 9 years ago in topic #7663 and dismissed at the time as trivial.

Fools! You all keep on bringing up style parody and style imitation, but I didn't say anything about style! Those posts don't parody or imitate Minecraft's art style at all. It seems like none of you know what Minecraft's art style even looks like!

Examples 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

That being said, we actually do have actual examples of genuine Minecraft style parody on the site, and applying the style parody tag to each image containing a Minecraft player would kill the point entirely. For example, this image of Pekora parodies the art style of Minecraft: Story Mode - post #4183937

My brain also has had more time to cook, and I've come to the genius idea to perhaps just tag it as what they are officially called in-game; a skin. So I'm just going to tag them with skin_(minecraft) unless somebody has a better idea.

I do appreciate the input though, it was wonderful! A great discussion was had by all!

I considered this as well, and my main cause for hesitation was that it might encourage new users to attempt to upload actual, game-readable skins (like this) to danbooru.
