I'm not saying it should be a general tag, I don't think think it should be. What I'm saying is that I'm not convinced nurse BB needs it's own tag at all. It's about as generic of an outfit as you can get. At least dangerous beast is unique and recognizable.

Well that's fair, but we went down the route of a single character tag for every costume so I'm not sure we can nuke it now when we handle everything else differently.

My stance here is that if Nurse BB gets a tag, it should be a character tag, yes. But, almost 90% of bb shot! posts are already tagged nurse. It's just a generic costume she wears during her NP and in one craft essence. Nothing about it actually distinguishes it from any other generic nurse, sexy or otherwise.

I'm not going to fight it getting its own tag, but I seriously doubt its necessity. I just want to finally see the fate tag mess cleaned up, at least a little. I'm not gonna let one dumb nurse stall what little progress we might finally make.

And no, having these tags means that users will forget the character tag. See the 585 posts under dangerous_beast -mash_kyrielight.

But that's the whole point of using dangerous_beast as a general tag - it is just an outfit. It became popular enough that at this point it is treated just like cat_lingerie, reverse_bunnysuit, and other such attire. A character wearing it doesn't necessarily mean that they are cosplaying mash_kyrielight. So not tagging Mash is correct.

And I agree with blindVigil.

We already have way too many Fate-related characters tags, which is exactly what creates confusion. Creating even more will only make things worse. It would be better to see if we can get rid of some, in the cases where they can be replaced by simple searches.

Fate tagging is a mess I'd like to see fixed, and I've said my piece on it at particular lengths in the grand retagging thread, so I still disagree on having char tags for every costume - especially when they're basically an insignificant nurse outfit or some other non-descript craft essence or such.
