facing away is supposed to be for the head facing completely backwards. In theory this means it should be nearly equivalent with from behind, with a bit more cases where the neck is twisted. In practice, this means a lot of facing_away posts are actually profile or facing_to_the_side, or even things like facing_away looking_back. Hence, the tag needs a new name.
I need suggestions because I can't figure out a proper good way to name it in a BUR by myself.

head_facing_background_of_image would be unambiguous but a real mouthful. We could sort of clarify facing away by aliasing it to something less ambiguous, perhaps?
Another alternative is to use the more intuitive looking at background, but this might cause conflicts with looking at viewer due to the weird way we currently distinguish between looking/facing. Though, I think the photography people would probably describe such shot compositions as "subject in foreground looking at the background" anyway, even if, say... they have a blindfold up with the back side of the 'band' visible.
Edit2: Though I suppose now this causes issue when a character's head is pointed to the side but they are sideways glancing into the background.
I think using the background as part of the tag will just be confusing. It would probably be better to frame things from the perspective of the viewer.

Facing_away_from_viewer would probably have the same problem as facing_away.
The only problem I can think of offhand is that people might apply it to other angles seen in mirrors and reflections, but maybe that's a necessary sacrifice given that the verbs seem to invite issues.
