Usage of copyright tags for sequels

Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 are being used for artworks featuring Melia Antiqua and Nia, for their (presumed) appearance in Xenoblade Chronicles 3's trailer.
I don't think artworks like post #5123139 should be tagged as Xenoblade Chronicles or Xenoblade Chronicles 2, because they have nothing about them other than the origin of the two characters, but i wanted to ask others' opinion on it before adding the rule on their wikis.

Tag the game that features the design they have in the post. This has been brought up plenty of times before, tagging every game a character appears in just muddies the search and makes finding specific designs harder. We don't tag DMC3 if Dante is in his DMC2 design.
