Nuking crescent_moon tag

But crescent is the symbol, while crescent moon well is an actual moon.

"crescent crescent_moon" has 470 posts while "crescent moon" has over 6300.

If your search "crescent -crescent_moon moon" you get 980 posts, but most of them will be posts where both a moon and a crescent symbol are present.

That may be what the wiki says, but most people just tag "crescent" and don't even include "crescent_moon" from what I've seen. The crescent shape is usually associated with the moon, too; it isn't a shape typically used without any associations to it.

    So you want to nuke a valid tag just because you noticed a lot of people don't read tag wikis?

    create alias crescent -> crescent_symbol

    Based in Unbreakable's suggestion, to make the tag sound more intuitive and to avoid any confusion with crescent moon. Some other symbol tags are named like to avoid confusion as well, like star (symbol) and arrow (symbol) for example.

    Well yes but that's because a "star" is an object, as is an "arrow", with the shape named after the object. "crescent" is not an object. I doubt people are using the tag crescent thinking it means anything other than the shape - those using it on crescent moons are doing so because a crescent moon is the crescent shape, and I don't see how this alias will affect that.
