(series) and (character) qualifiers

It's better to see case to case, I don't think it's possible to apply the same rule for everything here. As far as I know the (series) qualifier is for franchises with a number of different installments, it's usually not used for a single copyrights, like Helltaker and Soul Eater for example (and they sound strange with the (series) qualifier if they aren't franchises).
Another example, with black jack (character), the (character) is the more adequate qualifier as the name is ambiguous, and naming it like black jack (black jack) would be weird.

Soul Eater at least actually has additional copyrights, in Soul Eater NOT! and Soul Eater: Monotone Princess, but neither are very popular last I checked, barely have any art on danbooru.
