Singer tag

I'm not exactly sure about the use of singer? The wiki is very ambiguous.

Most of these kinds of profession tags are junk tags, prone to canon tagging and not actually having a taggable definition.

I'd suggest that When using these tags of profession, it's better to check if there are any tags that can portray what they are doing(singing) before who they are(singer).

It's a bad sign when half the posts in a tag are of a single character who happens to have that tag mentioned in their wiki.

I can understand the need for tags like idol that describe a particular type of costume, even if some users insist on doing unfathomably stupid shit like tagging a single character as nude idol. But a singer can be any person merely holding a microphone. There's no particular outfit associated with the tag, and no action other than singing. It's meaningless.

For the idol tag, there's also idol clothes, not sure how to differentiate them.

Theoretically, idol clothes would be if an outfit is on a bed or if someone is looking at one at a tailor/store, versus Idol which would be someone wearing the attire, but I've seen all kinds of back and forth on how to tag clothes not actually on a person.
