Alias of "Yuzuki Yukari (lin)"

The bulk update request #10986 has been rejected.

create alias yuzuki_yukari_(lin) -> yuzuki_yukari_(rin)

This is the correct romanization for Yukari-chan's outfit (see https://jisho.org/search/%E5%87%9B ). "lin" seems to be an official mistranslation by Vocaloid 4 staff, as romanization from Japanese is not obvious for Japanese speakers.

I am unsure whether a rename or an alias would be better in this situation, so I went with the more liberal option of the two.

If the name is official, then we keep it, even if it's not 100% correct. For example we keep Kyubey as such, even though the direct romanization of キュゥべえ should be Kyuubee.

I see. Is this site policy?
If so, where can I read about this further? I read through "how to tag" and the "translation" rules, but none of those answered my questions.

To be fair, it is also true that we make special exceptions (eg. Artoria Pendragon) if the fandom uses a different romanization.

Messed up my vote because I didn't read it properly.

Lin has, for the past 7 years, been the official romanization. The official Vocaloid store uses Lin on their English product page..
During the livestream she was unveiled at, the CEO of AHS directly went out and said that it is Lin, not Rin.

The difference between Lin and the examples listed is that people were told the proper name was "Lin" right out of the gate. When Fate/Stay Night was released in 2004, TM didn't put a disclaimer before the game starts saying "It's Altria, actually." We didn't get "Altria" until a decade later.

So it's Lin, end of story.

You can see topic #17011 and howto:Romanize for that.
