Parker-hale_idw and bushman_idw. At present, the only posts these are making appearances in are with regards to IDW_(Girls'_Frontline). I know too little of guns to debate which ought to be which, but the fact is that only one of them ought to be being tagged for the character- unless one is a variant of the other or something. Even then, is it absolutely necessary to give the variant it's own tag at the moment?
Would a gun aficionado mind weighing in? Combined, there's about 62 posts tagging the guns.
I wouldn't call myself a 'gun aficionado' personally, since I don't collect. I just have a handgun for EDC (every day carry), but I do watch a large amount of firearm videos on YouTube. What I think we need here is not an expert on firearms, but rather someone well-versed in Girls' Frontline to chime in.Someone like that is going to be more knowledgeable on why there's a distinction in the first place, otherwise I think this would've been folded into a singular tag by now. Which I think is perhaps evidence that the two tags should be left alone.
EDIT: Grammar.
EDIT2: Sorry, I skimmed the post too much. It's a PDW from Parker-Hale, a British manufacturer of firearms and firearm furniture. 'Bushman' was a company Parker-Hale worked with to produce prototypes of the gun. I'm not sure if there is any visual differences to be found here? Parker-Hale wasn't a company known for producing large quantities of firearms AFAIK. Personally I either axe the bushman_idw tag or alias it to parker-hale_idw since Parker-Hale is where the idea for the gun originates, or axe the both of 'em if felt necessary. Seems needless to have the two with those post counts.
I'd agree with Geneaux, it would probably make sense to just have one tag for the gun (especially since then said tag can be linked in IDW's wiki). If Parker-Hale IDW is the appropriate name, then we should just mass update/alias bushman_idw to it.
