What am I suppose to do? Go back in time and make an account years ago and contribute with tags and forum posts so I can vote in a thread that is actually meaningful to me today? Do you want actual users of this site (lurkers) to make democratic decisions when it interests them or just a cabal of 20 extremely active nerds who whine about being slightly inconvenienced by having to alter their blacklists.

But I can agree that otoko no ko should be removed in "explicitly transgender" images. Though I'm not into otoko no ko so my opinion isn't worth as much as those who are. Maybe they would want transgirls included in that tag.

I do support this idea, because Bridget is now indeed a transgender girl and that tag could be very useful.

• Only Strive posts* and by default. If an artist is still drawing Bridget as an otoko no ko then the tag would not apply. *pre-Strive Bridget could be tagged as transgender if drawn explicitly as such.
• Two tags would be best for filtering. transgender (mtf) and transgender (ftm) should be fine, those are commonly used acronyms after all. And it's pointless to worry about if those terms are transphobic too much, because what counts as that varies too much from person to person. Like some will go as far to say that a lesbian not wanting to have sex with a transgirl due to having a penis is transphobic.
• Yes, reasoning previously mentioned.
• Sex based tags should care about the character's sex, not their state of mind. So Bridget could still be tagged with yaoi.
• Same as the last bullet point. Bridget is male so would get male based tags, and not female ones.

I find it hilarious that this is even a discussion. It really doesn't matter what someone thinks; the reality is that Bridget is a girl in the canon of Guilty Gear Strive. You can cope and mald all you want, that's not going to change. The fact that a Japanese developer, of all nationalities (don't even pretend that Japan isn't backward in a lot of ways regarding LGBTQ issues), went ahead and decided to be slightly progressive for once broke the brains of a lot of dorks and that brings me some catharsis, I will admit.

Okay, I WILL confess that there is a specific mod in mind who has said a lot of transphobic stuff for the past few years...

But I think this is mainly so people aren't creating duplicate accounts just to rig the vote. Which, I WILL say, Danbooru very openly saves IP addresses and stuff. I've even had a mod "brag"(?) about it to me when I made a new account (this one) for various reasons concerning my old one.

Better to be safe than sorry, I guess. I get it, rigged votes are never helpful.

I created an account here because I had seen the convos happening and the multiple other threads derail and get locked. I actually have had my own fanart of Bridget be uploaded on this site, 1 being where shes tagged as a boy and 1 where shes tagged as a girl. It almost being a case where I had to draw actual breasts on her just for my own intentions to be recognized for how I've drawn and intended the character to be seen. Again, I understand the reasons for it, with the way the tagging system is done, but it feels like I have to go really out of my way to show how I want my art to be seen if it's going to be uploaded to this site at least.

Safebooru which is another booru site seems to have already made the change and handle all post-strive posts as 1girl for bridget, and seems to be working fine there, I believe.

Is a mod not supposed to be someone reasonable that will assist in defusing issues... I don't feel a person that is openly against any protected minority fits that role even slightly...

+1 for safebooru and generally more acceptance in a lot of sites.
Also for those wondering, Pixiv is also making the change (slowly albeit) to be more inclusive. Which kinda make the argument "but Pixiv..." fall apart.

Then leaving out the accounts with matching IPs would be the way to go about it, not siding with the transphobes and actively ignoring my vote since I found out from a third party.

Yeah, duplicating accounts is obviously unfair and scummy, but what does it matter WHERE someone heard about the poll? I have visited and known about this site for a while, and never had any incentive to make an account, but this poll was the final push I needed.

The fact that it's even left up to debate is actually pathetic, because it's actively allowing people to vote yes on the question "will we continue to misgender this girl?"

Safebooru and Gelbooru and Sankaku and Yande.re and E621 and others are different communities with different norms and different tagging methodologies, what works for one booru doesn't necessarily work for others and its users. Safebooru also doesn't have to care about NSFW content so it's easier to make that decision.

Yap, I've used this site constantly for finding references for poses and other things, it's a insanely powerful tool for searching up ideas, images for moodboards, seeing collections of artists work. I used it frequently as a lurker and have some of my own art uploaded here, I just never felt the need to make an account.

+Making an account takes investement. As a lot of person stated, they didn't until now because they didn't feel the need for. But now they did SPECIFICALLY to gender Bridget correctly.
