Mini-Miku

Posted under General

Okay, I'd noticed that a new tag had been created for Minami's Chibi Miku-san comic. Mini_Miku, for the chibi, younger sister (apparently) of Hatsune Miku. So I've been going from the beginning and adding it where it fits, but now I'm wondering.

Should I get rid of the Hatsune_Miku tag when it's just Mini_Miku there? It seems kinda pointless to have both. Then why create the tag in the first place?

No I think people searching for hatsune_miku would still want to find the images with just mini_miku, generally. Mini_miku should be a subset of hatsune_miku therefore. It'd be useful if you want to, say, find minami comics with just adult Hatsune Miku (hatsune_miku -mini_miku pool:675), or of course, just plain ol' mini_miku.

If my reasoning is correct, an implication (mini_miku -> hatsune_miku) would be sensible to save taggers some work.

Sounds good to me. Saves me a bit of work, too. I'm up to 65 or so now, with slow internet and it's 7:30 am. Still no sleep. I don't want to have to go through AGAIN to add the tags. But if it was needed, I'd totally do it.

Perhaps it was intended to avoid confusion with the title of the comic, causing careless taggers to simply tag all Chibi-Miku comics with that tag. But I guess the people uploading Chibi-Miku comics wouldn't make that careless mistake, and even if it did occur it would be fixed since so many people read it.

It being a character tag rather than a copyright tag would help tip people off too. Well, some of them anyway.
