AI-generated art check thread

... Honestly, if the image should be deleted, it's because it looks like it's been through two or three rounds of compression.

Actually, that's no reason to delete images. If it's the best version we have, then c'est la vie.

Anyway, I posted the linked full piece. I think we need more substantial evidence if we want to prove a 700-strong artist like karory has started using AI.

People should do some research first before making comments like this. Seriously.

Their Twitter is filled with making-of like this. You can't blame the artist that AI mostly adopted an artstyle similar to their art.

good timelaps, but I've been watching this artist for years before AI broke out and just couldn't help but find it really suspicious that he decided to change his style to AI like

The smudgy dragon print isn't really convencing to me, but the flowery things being all wonky in combination with the image resolution being 832x1216, which is a default output resolution for AI image generators, makes me extremely hestitant to call it "clean".

Likewise what hasu no kougeki said above, I'd like more substantial evidence than "smudgy dragon print" to decide that preview_(preview0) posts fully ai-generated pictures, otherwise the other 100+ uploads have to be flagged too.

I'm not terribly sure about this one but I'm leaning away from AI-generated. I see some mistakes that look kind of AI, such as the mess going on where her right (our left) jaw, her dress, and her hair converge, but I also see some shapes and details that I wouldn't expect AI to get, like that bit of gold under her left (our right) arm where the dragon on her dress is wrapping around behind her. I'll point out that the "string" the flag notes mention is not a string, but a lapel, which in official art actually does "disappear" briefly, presumably under a small strap used to hold the dress together? The whole thing doesn't really come together correctly, but I can see a person botching that just as easily as AI. The only other thing I can say is that if this is AI, it seems like a new development; I see lots of very human-generated body shapes in their other images.

Is this AI? There's somewhat of a jump in quality to his prior drawings and the artist talked about trying to use AI before.

Doubt it. Arms and fingers seem thin and shaped in a way that doesn't look like AI work, and is consistent with their work prior to the AIpocalypse, like so. Their style did improve a fair bit in from where it was in mid 2022, but they might have just... improved.

Forgot to add, I checked for a post mentioning AI and only saw a couple: one was just talking about the impending release of an AI music generation program, and the other seemed like kind of a joke? They mention they're impressed with how quickly it works, and then muse something to the effect of "if I fed all of the Hololive and Nijisanji designs into it, I could probably create the ubertuber!" before saying they wouldn't bother because it would take thousands of images to train AI like that.

So I decided to go back and look at the oldest stuff they had on Twitter, and I started noticing nonsense in backgrounds. See this chair, this table, or these two. I'm thinking now this person is for sure using AI, but to what extent, I'm not as sure. They got started long before the AI plague, seen in post #2978180, and I still see body shapes and other details that look more to me like an amateur being an amateur than AI being AI, but it doesn't look good.

Noticed the majority of their posts are labeled as AI, with the remainder either unmarked or marked as AI-Assisted. Neither the "style" has changed at all, and browsing through their Pixiv and Twitter shows no sign of even being assisted. Fairly certain they're full on AI-generated slop.
