Tag Alias: tubs and pans

Aliasing bath_tub -> bathtub.
Aliasing tub -> bathtub.

Reason: More common/same thing(s).

Aliasing wash_pan -> washpan.

Reason: Similar structure to the above.

Also: hot_tub (= jacuzzi)?

jacuzzi is a brand.

I'd personally prefer going with just editing images under tub to bathtub instead of aliasing it.

Looking around on google couldn't really find which is preferred between wash_pan and washpan, but it seems much more common to call it a washtub/wash_tub based off my searching.

I had trouble with that, too, but whatever comes across best.

You can toss out my comments on the whole washtub/wash_tub thing. Pan being shallower than a tub, and the pan itself being used for things like washing dishes, hands, face, etc with the tub used for washing clothes, body, etc. An alternative name for washpan/wash_pan was washbasin/wash_basin which is now more commonly used it seems for sinks.

Yeah, washpan is what I'd always seen more, with washbasin being an occasional term. Wasn't familiar with washtub.

I have no problem aliasing to bathtub and washpan, and have done so. For the most part we do separate words but these seem commonly placed together.

hot_tub is separate though. And it's better left as is than aliasing to jaccuzi.

I've just mass edited tub > bathtub for now.
