A mass update after a nuke is pointless, it will move no posts.

Not only that but moving it to newhalf will result in mass pollution of newhalf. The tag is pretty bad and mostly seems to be an excuse to tag characters like Bridgette and dragona_joestar as male and/or otoko instead of... well actually some images tagged with it are also tagged as 1girl so it's just a series of shit tagging all the way down.

This BUR completely contradicts how we use newhalf. It's for characters with female bodies, if the character appears male despite having breasts, then they aren't a newhalf by our definition.

Most of the posts under the tag, as far as I can see, are indistinguishable from the average futanari/newhalf, and only tagged male with breasts for canonical reasons.

Previously discussed in topic #22122. There are clear-cut fetish images of male characters with breasts (most distinctively in posts like post #5398648), and there are also worksafe images that can't go into the newhalf tag, but we never resolved the issue of people using it to tag war on cases that aren't unambiguously this trope. I remember the tag was decently clean back then, but it has gotten worse.

isn't this covered by manboobs though? its wiki even mentions those feminine breast cases

That was the subject of topic #22122, where several people wanted to distinguish the common image of gynecomastia from feminine breasts.

okay then, makes sense.
So it's all about making sure male with breasts isnt going to be used as a massive dump for posts that should be newhalf instead. Also means updating the manboobs wiki whenever this gets sorted out

Another relevant topic is topic #22189, when an attempt was made to restructure newhalf so that it became reflective of what the word actually meant, and making a new tag for the usage we have.

I'm pro-nuking, but the newhalf update would be the opposite with helping. A lot of the posts tagged under male_with_breasts don't even show the characters' dicks, like post #6292380.

Well... Not exactly pro-nuking. I think that the tag has some potential use with manly characters with breasts (kind of like in the Gandalf big naturals meme), rather than random "femboys" (if they can even be called that at that point)... But we don't really have any posts like that under the tag.
