[Sugg] Count unidentified characters (or anything ?)

Posted under Tags

chartags counts tags, therefore only identified characters.

This causes problems like:

Character classes I discern, from most identified to most anonymous:

  • Identified and tagged. Yay!
  • Recurring, but no canon name. A placeholder fan name is used.
  • Recognizable, but no canon name or other apperances.
  • Stereotypical. Race/sex/job etc might be figurable, but not much more.
  • Generic. Clearly not a focus, typically has no face.
  • Background silhouette. Clearly just for crowd effect.

EDIT:

  • Suggested. Eyes, ligths held, weapons brandished…

AFAIK Damboruu has no limited mechanism for such counting.

Adding solo, 1girl/1boy, their variations or a chartag to the search would filter the amount of characters.

Right, how could I forget that tag group…
multiple girls, 1girl, 2girls, 3girls, 4girls, 5girls, 6+girls
multiple boys, 1boy, 2boys, 3boys, 4boys, 5boys, 6+boys
multiple others, 1other, 2others, 3others, 4others, , 5others, 6+others
…so symptomatic of the problem: counting.

Come to think of it, pretty much any tag could use a count attribute.
Even crowd could be 2 distinct crowds.

And Dambooru does in fact have a form of counting mechanism, since we can (order:mpixels) order by or (mpixels:1) get specific pixel count.

Ah, thanks, I could not find it back.
I knew about it, but wanted a straight suggestion.

Except even solo has idiotic rules.

IIRC solo, solo focus & multiple views has been extensively discussed over time, but never quite fixed.
