Artist source left Blank

I've noticed as of recently the new fad of posting images from Pixiv and leaving artist source BLANK. And a LOT have been doing this.
It's like their translators died or something.
Do people ever consider how annoying it is to post an image from a great artist only to find out all the other images are scattered about and lost in the sea of a million panties or breasts tag?

I find this site to be the BEST for just translating the artist Pixiv name. (since it can only handle a few words and not a paragraph)

This isn't really a new occurrence let alone a surprising one, not to mention most of the people who don't bother making a new artist tag don't read the forums. (Assuming this is what you mean because this doesn't make any sense when referring to the actual artist source.)

Because there can be disagreements for the artist name, most of the time I use the URL.

That cannot change, unlike the artist name. If you see someone doing this, educate them on the many ways of naming artists.

Probably should have mentioned this but if you upload a new artist from pixiv and make a tag, you can search for source:*.pixiv.net/img/username_here (copy this from the source url) and it will return you the already uploaded images for that artist.

A lot of people also forget that you can type source:http://img20.pixiv.net/img/artisturl into the search box to see what a lot of people have tagged the artist as. Helps in consistent artist naming.

Just make sure you wildcard the img20 to img*, or do what Log mentioned.

That doesn't apply if there's an artist entry, as it would autosource from the bookmarklet/danbooruup/show up when you do a find artist, which is pretty much the exact opposite of xephina's point. If there's already a tag take the two seconds it takes to make an artist entry.

However, most people forget to make artist entries, making the system useless if that part isn't factored in.

I'm saying its smart to do when there isn't an autosource, and there is a tag but no entry.
