Why aren't these meta tags? They are about the "irl" . Other attemps at this included things that aren't really "mediums" in an artistic sense , such as mousepads and last attempt at this was rejected by the user themselves after one comment that nnt then disagreed with. Also good show of nested meta tags with the painting ones.

Big as in tag count or tag count combined with number of tags changed? Saw people seemed to generally like the idea and most concerns were with "grey areas" for what constitutes a medium. So I tried to be more strict.

I believe total number of posts in the tag. If I'm reading the code correctly, it looks like it tries to update the tag count attributes (tag_count_general, tag_count_meta etc) with a 30 second limit to process every post, which is likely not enough for a 70k post count tag like traditional media.

Well that seems like a massive case of "why the fuck wasn't this done before".

If I get any mod responses confirming that I'll try the bur without traditional media, even if that is really stupid.

Well traditional media isn't the only problem, it's just the biggest tag there. The rest are on the order of 10k which is likely also too many. Even a tag of 1k posts (the limit to change its category for builders without making a BUR) will nearly time out the request.

BUR #22617 has been approved by @evazion.

This is more complete and focuses on materials/tools/process instead of final format. Things like card_(medium) were previously debated due to being closer to a style/format than describing the materials used. There are some tags that straddle this (ex. canvas_(medium) and whiteboard_(medium)) which more accurately describe the presentation of something else (paint and marker, respectively). They have been left out.

This BUR will still require technical changes mentioned in forum #173979.

So it is something the admins want? Can it still be done after the bur is auto rejected? Is there a rough estimate for what is feasible to do? about 5k? about 10k? about 20k? about 100k? I want to do a bur for the "smaller" ones in the meantime.
