Continuing forum #317595, this BUR covers posts depicting software windows without notable features to categorise into their specific versions, either drawn by hands or by having different colour from the defaults due to the customisability nature in those OSes.

Windows 9x would be a better name.

Edit: Nevermind, just noticed that 2000 is there as well

The term 9x leaves out NT 4.0 and 2000, both of which are, well, Windows NT. Asides, the term Classic covers better on those generic "retro computer" windows seen in most arts having them.

windows_9x sounds like an actual operating system they would have used. It would be prone to confusion.

IIRC Windows Classic is what the 95/2000-like theme on XP/Vista/7 is called anyways, so it's basically like an official term as well.

remove implication windows_2000 -> microsoft_windows
remove implication windows_me -> microsoft_windows

These implications are now redundant, since Windows Classic implies Microsoft Windows already.
